Everything your users do — reports, schedules, alerts, the wallboard, CRM and the contact centre — works as described in the rest of this documentation. This page covers what only a server has: the System pages, the licence and the machine itself.
The System pages
Owners and Administrators (permission system.admin) see System in the menu. Licence and Support can be read by every member; only administrators change them.
| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Health | Each service (web app, database, scheduler, call record listener), the disk holding the data folder, background work waiting, and each phone system connection with its last call record and rejected lines. Refreshes every 30 seconds; Check now refreshes at once. |
| Email server | The SMTP server every email goes through. Enter it, then Send test message; it is used only after a test arrives. Stop using it pauses sending; the password is stored encrypted and never shown again. |
| Licence | What the licence includes (modules, editions, seats), its limits against what is in use, maintenance and SLA dates, activation, and the daily licence check. |
| Support | Critical error reports: what is waiting, Send now, the switch to send them to Telyzer, and Download reports for an offline server. |
The licence
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Licensed | Valid and activated on this server. | Nothing. |
| Trial | A 14-day trial with every module. Reports and exports are marked as a trial. | Request a quote and install the paid licence before the trial ends; when it ends, the server becomes read-only. |
| Not licensed yet | No licence installed. Everything works for 30 days from the server's first start. Reports and exports are marked as a trial. | Upload your licence file. |
| Needs activation | Installed but not bound to this server. Everything works during the grace period. | Activate online, or use a request file. |
| Grace period | No longer valid (term ended, moved to another server, file can't be verified); everything works until the date shown. | Follow the message on the page, or contact Telyzer or your partner. |
| Read-only | The grace period is over. People can sign in, read, report and export; nothing new can be added or changed. | Install a valid licence; the server returns to normal at once. |
- Calls from your phone systems are always collected and kept, whatever the licence status.
- At a limit, new users or sites can't be added; administrators are emailed when usage goes over a limit.
- Maintenance covers updates released up to its end date. When it ends the server keeps working; updates released later can't be installed until it is renewed.
- The trial mark: while the server has a trial licence or none, every report PDF (across each page), Excel file, CSV file, scheduled report attachment and contact-centre report export says it comes from a trial. Files made after a paid licence is installed carry no mark.
- Moving to new hardware: ask Telyzer to move the licence (rehost); then activate it on the new server.
People and sign-in
- There is no public sign-up: administrators invite people from Team. Invitations and password resets need the email server.
- Roles, permissions, department scopes and two-step sign-in work as in the cloud.
- Usage & billing, plans, sending as your own domain, WhatsApp and the web chat widget are cloud features and do not appear on a server. What the server includes comes from its licence.
Services, logs and the Event Log
Get-Service Telyzer*
Restart-Service TelyzerApp
Restart-Service TelyzerWorker
Restart-Service TelyzerGatewayEach service writes a log file per day (10 MB per file, kept 14 days, at most 1 GB in all):
C:\ProgramData\Telyzer\logs\app-20261025.log
C:\ProgramData\Telyzer\logs\worker-20261025.log
C:\ProgramData\Telyzer\logs\gateway-20261025.logWarnings and errors also go to the Windows Event Log (Application log), under TelyzerApp, TelyzerWorker and TelyzerGateway, so your monitoring can pick them up.
Backups, updates, certificate and company sign-in
These come with the installer release, in Telyzer Server Manager and under System:
- Backups: a nightly full backup (database, attachments, key ring and configuration) to a folder or network share, kept for the number of days you choose, optionally encrypted with a passphrase you keep. Restore from Server Manager: choose a backup, the services stop, the backup is restored (and upgraded if it is older), the services start.
- Updates: connected servers check daily and show when an update is available; offline servers upload the signed package. Applying it checks the signature and the maintenance date, takes a full backup, keeps the previous version, upgrades the database and checks health — and restores the previous version and the backup by itself if anything fails. You can schedule it for the night.
- HTTPS certificate: renew or replace it, export the CA certificate, with a reminder before it expires.
- Sign-in with company accounts: Active Directory / LDAP with group-to-role mapping, and your own Microsoft Entra app.
- Health alerts emailed to IT, and an opt-in support heartbeat so Telyzer can see trouble before you call.
- Support bundle: one zip of logs, health, configuration with secrets removed, database statistics and waiting error reports — no customer data — to send to support.

- Activation: Download request file in System → Licence, send it to Telyzer or your partner, upload the licence file you get back.
- Error reports: Download reports in System → Support and send the file to support.
- Updates: upload the package you downloaded from your customer page (coming with the installer release).
