Communication Manager can write call records to files on each server (Survivable CDR). The Telyzer Relay, installed inside your network, collects those files over SFTP, stores each one, then deletes it from the server. Telyzer reads CM's customized record format using the exact field layout you copy from CM.
1. Prepare each CM server
- Enable Survivable CDR with
change system-parameters cdr. - Choose the customized record format.
- Create the CDR login the relay will use for SFTP.
Do this on every server that writes CDR — active, standby and survivable — because each keeps its own files.
2. Install the relay and add every server
Install the relay as described in Windows Lite Relay; the -PbxIp option is not needed. Then add each CM server:
& "C:\Program Files\Telyzer Relay\telyzer-relay.exe" add-sftp --host <CM address> --user <CDR login> --password <password>| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
--dir <folder> | Folder to read. Default: the login's home folder. |
--keep | Do not delete files after collecting them. |
--every <seconds> | How often to check for new files. Default: 60. |
--key <private key file> | Sign in with a private key instead of --password. |
Then restart the service:
Restart-Service TelyzerRelay3. Set the record format in Telyzer
- In the portal, open PBX connectors → your relay connector → Record format, and choose Avaya Aura CM (customized CDR).
- Copy the fields and their lengths exactly as they appear on page 2 of
change system-parameters cdr, in the same order. The record width updates as you add fields. - Set CDR date format (month/day or day/month) to match CM.
- Paste 2–5 lines from a CM CDR file under Sample records and choose Test layout.
- Make one test call and check its time to see whether CM's time field marks the start or the end of a call, and set The time field marks to match. Then choose Save format.
New records use the saved format. Telyzer takes the call direction from the trunk fields and counts a call as answered when it has talk time.
